FAMILY and friends of a Brockholes man who died of a liver disease have raised more than £200 with a coffee morning.

The event was held at Brockholes Village Hall in aid of the Barry Wilde Trust Fund.

Mr Wilde, 62, died in January of primary sclerosing cholangitis.

He had waited in vain for a liver transplant for 10 months.

Soon after Mr Wilde's death, his widow Margaret and children Graeme, Joanne and Richard set up the Barry Wilde Trust Fund to raise awareness of the need for liver donors.

As well as raising awareness, the charity also raises cash for the liver unit of St James' Hospital in Leeds, where he was treated.
