THEY partied long into the night to celebrate a great triumph!

Fans of Huddersfield Giants mingled with their heroes at a nightclub hours after the side's epic win over Leeds Rhinos.

Rugby league's sleeping giants produced a superb display that rekindled memories of their glory days of the Thirties and Forties to inflict humiliation on a Leeds team that came up with their worst performance of the season.

And the celebratory party to mark the 30-12 triumph that guaranteed the Giants a place in the August 26 final at Twickenham was one to remember.

Jon Sharp's heroes sipped champagne as they laughed and joked with the fans who packed into the Billie Rox club at Folly Hall hours after the Odsal triumph.

Some 5,000 of them had given the club their best backing for many years.

The party saw heroes such as Robbie Paul and Chris Thorman signing autographs for their fans, who are now planning a trip to London and the Giants' first Challenge Cup final for 44 years.
