TASTE testing proved popular with students at Fartown High School.
The school’s catering service organised a special tasting day to encourage students to try new lunchtime menus and options.
The school has recently refurbished its dining room and new food choices are to be offered to encourage healthy eating.
A spokeswoman from the school said: “To promote healthy living we have set up a taster station to entice students to take healthy options.
“Eating the right food helps to enrich your mind so making healthy choices at lunchtime can help students focus on learning new skills in the classroom.
“Tasting sessions are a new initiative we are promoting across Kirklees by introducing salad bars and deli bars in many high schools.”
