A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of stealing from a clothing chain.

Sarah Weston, 23, is charged with theft of £40 worth of clothes from Primark on October 15.

She is alleged to have entered the New Street store with her friend and co-accused Jasmine Parkinson.

Weston, of Fartown Green Road, allegedly passed items to her friend who then put them in her bag.

The women are then alleged to have attempted to leave the store without paying.

The clothes were recovered by store staff. Weston denied involvement in the offence when she appeared before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

She will next appear the court on December 20 for her trial.
