THE aisles of a town centre store were transformed into a catwalk for a charity fashion show.

Models strutted their stuff at Boots to raise more than £1380 for children’s charity, the Forget Me Not Trust.

Boots hosted the ladies only night with makeovers, demonstrations and a fashion show on Tuesday.

Jo Burke, accounts manager at Boots on King Street, said: “I do a charity event every year and Boots always support me.

“It was a great night and I had so many people coming in after saying how much they enjoyed it.”

Ladies enjoyed canapés as they took part in a raffle and auction in aid of the charity, which is aiming to build a children’s hospice in West Yorkshire for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Jo Burke added: “It was of course organised chaos with so many women here, but they loved it.

“It is something we’ll definitely consider doing again because it was so much fun.”
