A YOUNG Huddersfield businessman is proving a winner on the race track.

Mark Davies, co-owner of FASTSIGNS Huddersfield, is leading the Ginetta G20 Texaco Havoline Championship after a double race win at Silverstone.

Mark, hailed as “an impressive newcomer” on the Ginetta website, showed great form in his debut race at the end of last season in his FASTSIGNS car.

He has continued to impress this season by winning five out of six races.

The championship series culminates at the Spa Francochamps F1 circuit in Belgium during October – when Mark is hoping to race away with the title.

Mark’s day job is running the FASTSIGNS centre at Hoyer Industrial Park, off Leeds Road. The company produces signs and graphic products for local businesses.

Speaking about his double win in August, Mark said: “This was a crucial weekend for us to stamp our authority on this championship and our FASTSIGNS team gave me the car I needed to win both races.

“However, this is not all about motor racing.

“We take the opportunity to market our business to the paddock to teams, drivers and visitors.”
