GREEN Party members have attacked the Home Secretary's new `draconian' anti-terror measures as a "further step towards turning Britain into a police state".
Lesley Hedges, Colne Valley prospective parliamentary candidate, said people were being duped by their elected leaders.
And she said comments from David Blunkett on knowing what house arrest was like were out of order.
At their Spring conference in Chesterfield, Green delegates passed an emergency motion calling for local parties to campaign against Charles Clarke's measures.
