Felix the Huddersfield Station Cat celebrated her sixth purr-thday on Tuesday as she hit 60,000 likes on her page.

And with birthday wishes flooding in from across the globe, it remained clear that the birthday girl is no ordinary moggy.

Flocks of adoring fans were quick to send their wishes to the station’s Senior Pest Controller, with greetings coming from Paraguay, USA, Germany, Malaysia, Italy and Pakistan.

Friends in Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands and France also joined in the chorus of birthday wishes.

Felix found stardom earlier this year after news of her promotion to Senior Pest Controller featured in media reports in Hong Kong and America. Her number of social media followers rocketed from a few hundred to thousands within the space of a few weeks.

Her birthday in cat years makes her a grand 42, proving life really does begin in your 40s.

Felix said: “I have been celebrating my birthday with my colleagues at TransPennine Express.

“It didn’t seem like such a big deal last year, but now that I’m an international star it seemed important to share the news I’m another year older with all my fans.

“Reaching 60,000 likes really is the purr-fect present.”
