A STUDENT is to use her love of cycling to raise cash for a Huddersfield charity.
Manchester University student Charlotte Morris will pedal hundreds of miles from London to Paris in aid of the Laura Crane Trust.
The charity is the only one in the UK funding research specifically into cancers affecting the 13-24 age group.
Charlotte, 20, who hails from Farnley Tyas, said: “I took up cycling when I started university and found that I really enjoyed it.
“So I thought I’d give myself a challenge. My mum does loads of marathons and she said I should do it for charity as she said the fundraising is half the fun.”
Charlotte, who studies chemistry and French, is hoping to raise at least £1,500 on the four-day-ride on July 27.
But first she is holding a charity fun day in her home village to help boost her cause.
The event at The Star pub, Fenay Bridge on May 1 will feature live band Storm, a barbecue, a raffle and a bouncy castle.
