DANCER Lucy Horsfall put her best foot forward to secure a place at three top dance schools.

Now the Fenay Bridge dancer, aged 16, must choose which of the London colleges to study at.

Lucy attends the Adele Taylor School of Dance five times a week and said: “I went to audition at Laine, Doreen Bird and Urdang Performers and got a place at all three. I have to pick one now which will be hard because they’re all brilliant.”

Lucy loves ballet, tap, modern, jazz and contemporary styles of dance.

She started to dance aged two and has loved it ever since.

She said: “I really enjoy performing, I like dance because you’re able to express yourself, your emotions and how you feel.”

Lucy fits dance practice in around her GCSE studies, which she’s currently sitting at Almondbury High School.

“The school has been really good, letting me go for auditions and being supportive too,” she added.

“The auditions were nerve-wracking but exciting too.

“It will be great to move to London, but I will miss being at home.”

Lucy will start at dance college in September, leaving mum Jill, dad Simon and brother Joel, 14, at home.

Before then she will compete in the Miss Dance GB finals in Blackpool and her ambition is to dance on a West End stage and become a choreographer.
