HOSPITAL volunteer Lynn Catley has served up her last cuppa.

Lynn has hung up her pinny after 16 years of helping staff and patients on the chemotherapy ward at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Lynn, from Thunderbridge, joined the unit when it opened in 1996 as she was new to Huddersfield and looking to meet new people. Her duties have included serving teas to patients, helping the staff and clerical support.

She said: “It is always so positive on the unit and I have got to know the staff and patients over the years. It has been very rewarding I would recommend volunteering to anyone.”

Lynn, a long-serving member of the hospital’s League of Friends committee, has two daughters and two grandchildren and is planning to move to Harrogate where she hopes to resume her hospital volunteer work.
