A HUGE fire at a tip sent smoke spiralling over the Leeds Road area of Huddersfield.
The tip off Fieldhouse Lane - used to dump garden waste - caught fire at about 6pm last night.
Firefighters were at the scene for three hours.
The fire covered an area of about 25 sq m.
The blaze is thought to have been started deliberately.
Arsonists also struck on Kilner Bank at Bradley Mills at 7.20pm, setting fire to a 20m stretch of the banking.
