GENEROUS staff members from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are to hold a second Winter Snow Ball in memory of a colleague, Trudy Ramsden.

Trudy died of cancer in 2006, having worked for the West Yorkshire Fire Service for 28 years as an emergency control operator.

She was described by colleague Debbie O’Grady as: “A lady full of life. She loved to party in style.”

Last year the ball raised more then £13,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research and The Fire Fighters’ Charity.

Debbie said: “It has been a tough two years since Trudy died and the ball has helped us remember her.” on Saturday, March 7, at Leeds United’s Elland Road Conference and Exhibition Centre, with money being raised for Yorkshire Cancer Centre and the Fire Fighters Charity. Tickets are £35. There will be live entertainment, a disco and charity auction.
