FIREFIGHTERS spent nearly three hours tackling a blaze at an empty house.
The building, believed to have been a derelict golf house, was destroyed in the fire at Burrwood, off Stainland Road in Holywell Green. Crews from Halifax and Elland arrived soon after 11.30pm on Thursday and received support from Huddersfield and Brighouse crews. They were there until about 2.30am yesterday. No-one was hurt in the incident.
