A MASSIVE fire broke out in a Shepley barn which contained an acetylene cylinder.

Last night firefighters were fighting the flames in a barn off Long Close Lane, Shepley. Four fire engines were at the scene shortly after the fire was reported at 4.50pm. And they called for extra back-up as 100% of the farm building measuring 25m by 5m went up in flames. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that they were aware of one acetylene cylinder inside the farm building, which was engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Meltham and Skelmanthorpe were at the scene well into last night.
