BUSINESS owners have been warned about the dangers of placing skips next to buildings after a huge fire in Liversedge.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton battled to prevent the skip fire spreading to the premises of Victoria Springs Business Park at Wakefield Road.
Watch manager Chris Bell said the skip was well alight by the time they arrived shortly before midnight on Monday evening and could have easily spread to a nearby building.
He warned business owners that skips should not be placed any nearer than five metres to any building due to the inherent risk of fire spreading.
