A TEXTILE firm in Huddersfield has launched a joint venture with a Lancashire company.

Airotech Holdings Ltd, based at Lindley, has teamed up with JM Corporate Design Ltd, of Bolton.

The move will introduce Airotech's range of fabrics and garments to the corporate clothing sector, where JM is a specialist.

JM Corporate Design has nine years experience in workwear - producing business suits, overalls, schoolwear and uniforms for shopworkers.

It sources garments from 30 factories across the world through offices in Turkey and Bangladesh.

Airotech, which has about 60 employees, sells branded fabrics and clothes in the UK, the Middle East and the Far East with major customers in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Andrew Ball, chairman of Airotech, said: "We intend our joint venture to become a force in this growing market. We plan to harness our potential to become number one in the sector."

The link-up comes just three months after Airotech and its sister firm John Gladstone (Dyers and Finishers) were bought by its managers from the Uniworth Group textiles business, based in Calcutta, India.
