A GUEST speaker from Huddersfield NHS Primary Care Trust will speak at a meeting in Denby Dale.
The event tomorrow is the first of a new season of meetings by Kirklees Council's Denby Dale area committee.
It begins at 7pm at Skelmanthorpe Council Offices.
Chairman Clr Jim Dodds said: "Following the recent elections there have been some changes on the committee and some new faces – including mine.
"I'm hoping people will come along to the meeting in Skelmanthorpe so that we can make our introductions and then get down to the business of improving life for all the people in the different villages that make up the Denby Dale area."
For 2004/05 the area committee is proposing working on projects to target young people, crime and community safety and the environment.
People at tomorrow's meeting will have the chance to suggest ideas or schemes to be included.
