FITNESS staff in Huddersfield have thrown out a challenge.

If you've overdone it with the mince pies over Christmas and the new year try Kirklees Active Leisure's Try-athon at the town's sports centre.

On February 5, centre staff - and these KAL workers, who are pictured at the group's HQ at the Galpharm Stadium - are inviting people to help raise money for Kirkwood Hospice, Dalton, through sponsorship or donations.

A three-hour exercise session will be held for anyone who would like to take part.

Classes ranging from step aerobics and boxercise to pilates and fitball will be included. But don't worry, breaks can be taken whenever they're needed!

Sarah Flanagan, the sports centre's operations manager, said: "We want as many people to try as much of it as they can."

Last year, sports centre staff ran an aero- bathon and raised more than £3,000 for the hospice.

Anyone who would like to take part in the Try-athon can pick up an application form from any KAL sports centre.
