FITNESS fans are being urged to reach for their Lycra gear to raise cash for charity.

More than 100 people will be stepping up to the challenge when Huddersfield’s annual aerobathon takes place on April 26.

The event – at Huddersfield Sports Centre – will be raising cash for Kirkwood Hospice.

Fundraisers over 16 will be able to jump, step, stretch and even punch their way through the four-hour event.

They will also be able to exercise at their own level and take regular breaks.

Event organiser Lawrence Blackford, said: “We want as many people there as possible to build up a fun and lively atmosphere and cheer each other along.

“It’s as hard as you want to make it, but will still be a tough challenge for those who work at the top level. Also, you can start at any point and have regular rests if you prefer – or you can pick and choose which classes you do.

“Most importantly, we just want you to turn up and enjoy your day.”

People are being asked to pay £5 to register on the day between 8.45am and 9.15am.

Sponsorship or additional donations will be welcome.
