FIVE men have admitted being involved in a party brawl where a man was killed.

The news came 17 months after the tragic death of Stevie Cameron.

Seven men who were held after the incident in Tintern Avenue, Milnsbridge, appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

Benjamin Dollive, 30, Harry Castledine, 22, Dale McClean, 22, Dale Smith, 24, and Michael Sharpe, 21, all admitted being part of a confrontation in which their friend Mr Cameron died.

They pleaded guilty to a charge of violent disorder.

Mr Cameron, 22, died in a fight which broke out at an 18th birthday party at Tintern Avenue, Milnsbridge, onFebruary 2, 2009.

No charges were brought against Mr Cameron’s killer as it was ruled he had acted in self-defence.

But the seven men were all charged with violent disorder.

Dollive, his brother Castledine, and Smith, all of Willwood Avenue, Oakes, and McLean, of Greenfield Avenue, Oakes, and Sharpe, of Longwood Road, all admitted the offence.

But Andrew Lynch, 19, of Eldon Road, Marsh and Richard Mosley, 28, of Weymouth Avenue, Oakes, deny the offence.

The pair will be tried by a jury at Bradford Crown Court in March.

The other five will be sentenced when the trial finishes.

Dollive has also admitted an unrelated offence of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

He will be sentenced for the drug offence at a later date.

Stevie’s death was a second tragedy for his family, as his half brother Paul McKenzie died in a car crash three years earlier.

Friends described Mr Cameron as “one of those people you can’t forget.”

He was a very good rugby player when he was young and was a regular at a Huddersfield gym.

He grew up in Marsh and went to Reinwood Junior School and Salendine Nook High School.

Judge Dean Kershaw bailed all seven men until their next hearing.
