POLICE arrested five men in a drugs raid at a Huddersfield snooker hall.

Officers from a special drugs squad raided the Huddersfield Snooker And Amusement Centre on Manchester Road, Longroyd Bridge, at 5.45pm yesterday.

It emerged today that four were arrested on suspicion of drugs trafficking and possession of offensive and prohibited weapons.

A knife and CS gas were found along with illegal class A and class B drugs.

A fifth man in his early 40s was also detained.

Police have confirmed they acted after receiving tip-offs from the public to the Dob In A Dealer hotline.

A man in his 20s from Thornton Lodge has been charged with possessing a class B controlled drug.

A 16-year-old boy also from Thornton Lodge was cautioned about the knife.

The three other men have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Det Insp John Gilbody, head of Kirklees District Drugs Team, said:
