THE M62 was closed during Friday evening rush hour after a five car smash.
The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway just after 5.45pm.
Two casualties in their 20s were taken to hospital.
One of the damaged vehicles had a dual fuel LPG conversion and firefighters from Brighouse were called to make it safe and move the vehicle to the hard shoulder. The motorway re-opened at 8pm.
