TRAFFIC is severely disrupted on the M62 eastbound after two earlier crashed forced two lanes to be closed.
Five vehicles crashed at Junction 26 (Chain Bar) at around 2.34pm causing lengthy delays. Police and ambulance are on the scene but it is believed no-one was injured.
And at Junction 27 (Gildersome) an HGV and a pick-up truck were involved in a collision near to the slip road of the M621.
Police confirmed the two affected lanes re-opened at around 4.30pm. The Highways Agency was reporting an hour delay between Junction 26 (Chain Bar) and 23 (Outlane) at 4.35pm.
