A LOCKWOOD mill complex could soon be turned into flats.

Plans have been drawn up to turn Scar Mills, at Lockwood Scar, into 34 apartments.

This includes 26 two-bedroom flats and eight one-bedroom dwellings. Most of these would be in the three-storey main mill block.

On-site parking is also planned with new access arrangements.

An application for planning permission has been made to Kirklees Council by Twickenham-based company Agaur.

London architect Kristi Rogers has worked on the scheme.

Public consultation on the plans end on January 31 and a decision is expected to be made after March 8.
