WORLD Cup fever is growing in Huddersfield as England prepare for their must-win match against Ecuador tomorrow.
The South American side surprised many people by qualifying from their group to face England in Stuttgart.
Closer to home, on Wakefield Road, Waterloo, traders are getting into the spirit of things.
A big floral display comprising red English roses, white Yorkshire roses, carnations and chrysanthemums is on display outside Inspirations florist.
Along with it is a sign calling on motorists to toot their horns in support.
Paul Stevens, a partner in the business, said: "We're just getting people to support England ahead of the big match tomorrow and generate a bit of excitement among the other Wakefield Road."
He said all customers at the shop would be entered into a draw to win the floral display.
If it's watered it could last for the whole of the tournament.
Let's hope the same is true for England.
Because Paul, who is also a meteorologist, says there is a good chance of temperatures in Germany reaching a roasting 32°C (90°F) by kick-off time at 4pm.
"It certainly would suit the opposition," he said.
As for the result he said: "I have got a feeling it will be 2-1 to England. I don't think it will go to penalties, but I'm frightened of jinxing it!"
