A FIRM helping to rescue stranded drivers is among the best in Britain for looking after its employees.

Fleet management company FMG Support, based at St Andrew’s Road, Bradley Mills, has been named in the latest Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For Guide.

The company, which handles vehicle rescue and recovery and employs more than 450 people, was 67th in the rankings – but was one of only three Yorkshire-based firms to be listed.

More than 960 organisations registered to take part in the 2010 listings and the views of 230,000 employees were gathered.

FMG Support was praised by staff for providing “inspirational leadership” and espousing “strong principles” while three-quarters of them said they loved working for the organisation.

The firm is the second largest private sector employer in Huddersfield.

Managing director Mark Scanlon said: “To be recognised in the definitive survey of working satisfaction is a great achievement”.
