A TRADER accused of threatening and swearing at customers has had his ban from a market extended.

David Bentley, 49, of Bath Street appeared in Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

In August he was given a temporary Asbo banning him from Huddersfield Open Market and Byram Street after accusations that he threatened customers.

Bentley is also banned from encouraging anyone else to act in a way likely to cause alarm or distress.

Bentley’s case was adjourned yesterday until March 9. His Asbo was extended until that date.
