Food fans invited to design their own pie at The Old Mill pub

A BRIGHOUSE pub is giving food fans the chance to design their own pie.

The Old Mill, based in Wakefield Road, is holding the competition.

The winning recipe will feature on the pub’s menu to celebrate British Pie Week next year.

Elaine Spencer, general manager at the pub, said: “The humble pie is a British classic.

“We’re looking for a new take on the traditional dish to feature on our menu.

“We’re hoping to see some mouth-watering entries so we encourage all pie fans to get creative!”

The overall winner will be voted for by members of the public.

The pub is part of the Chef & Brewer chain.
