DRAMATIC footage of the July 7 bombers was released last night.
The images show the terrorists chatting, putting on rucksacks and buying snacks on their way to blow up Tube trains.
Huddersfield’s Jermaine Lindsay and Dewsbury’s Mohammed Siddique Khan are seen hugging their fellow terrorists just hours before they slaughtered 52 London commuters.
In chilling scenes, Hasib Hussain is also seen shopping for a battery and stopping at McDonald’s as he struggles to make his device work after the other bombs have been detonated.
The footage was described in detail in the Home Office’s Narrative report, which was published the year after the devastating 2005 attacks.
But little of the material has so far been made available to the general public.
Last month the Information Commissioner dismissed objections from Scotland Yard that disclosure could disrupt its investigations, and ordered that seven pieces of footage should be released.
The force decided not to appeal against the ruling, but delayed disclosure until the trial of three men accused of helping the bombers had concluded.
Waheed Ali, 25, Mohammed Shakil, 32, and Sadeer Saleem, 28, were cleared of the charges at Kingston Crown Court last week, but Ali and Shakil were each jailed for seven years for planning to attend a terrorist training camp.
The images are all from July 7, the day of the suicide bombings that killed 52 innocent people in London.
At 4.54am on July 7, Shehzad Tanweer was filmed at Woodall Services on the M1, buying snacks, arguing over his change and looking straight at the camera.
At 5.07am Lindsay arrived at Luton railway station, waiting for 90 minutes and examining the departure board.
At 6.49am all four bombers put on “large and full” rucksacks outside Luton station and at 8.26am they were seen at King’s Cross, hugging on the concourse close to the Thameslink platform, heading towards the Underground.
Other shots show Hussain walking out of King’s Cross on to Euston Road, demeanour appearing “relaxed” and trying to make a call on a mobile phone and later buying a battery for his deadly bomb.
Three of the bombers detonated their devices almost simultaneously at 8.50am, Lindsay under King’s Cross, Mohammad Sidique Khan at Edgware Road, and Shehzad Tanweer at Aldgate.
Hussain set off his bomb on a bus in Tavistock Square at 9.47am.
