HUDDERSFIELD Town has launched an online auction to help reach its goal of raising thousands of pounds for charity.

The auction of sporting memorabilia is being held to raise money for the club’s Keep It Up campaign.

The initiative was created by the club last year as a way of helping Yorkshire Air Ambulance reach their target of raising £7,200 per day to keep their two helicopters in the air.

The club is auctioning over 30 items on its website over the next 10 days.

Auction items include a training day with Town’s first team and Andy Booth, director for the day and a large variety of sporting memorabilia.

Sean Jarvis, commercial director of Huddersfield Town, said: “This is yet another fantastic event which is taking place to raise funds for the Keep It Up campaign.

“We have already raised over £100,000, but we have another £25,000 to go.

“We would like to thank all of the clubs and individuals who have very kindly donated items to us to auction off, their support is invaluable.”

For every £1 that is raised through the campaign, 50p is donated to the charity.

The rest goes to the club’s Youth Academy which promotes the development of future football stars from the local community.
