A CONTINENTAL market is making a return to Huddersfield a week on Thursday.

The event will be held from November 18 - 21 and organisers are promising that its array of European delights will be bigger and better than ever.

Sun-ripened olives, tomatoes and fruits from Spain and France will be on offer, along with Italian handbags and jewellery from Paris.

Stallholders will also be selling cheese and wines from a family vineyard in Italy, Dutch toffee waffles and exotic wild boar and blueberry sausages.

Shoppers will be able to walk through the Dutch flower market and buy Mediterranean pottery and table cloths from Provence.

Many stallholders will offer samples so that visitors can try before they buy.

The market will be open from 9am to 8pm on the Thursday, 9am to 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.

A free competition for a continental food hamper will be held.
