HUDDERSFIELD people have been urged to support a charity’s new fundraising campaign.

The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice at Bradley has launched One Good Thing for 2013.

People are urged to do “one good thing” this year to help the charity, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Suggestions include donating “one good thing” to a Forget Me Not shop, turning New Year’s resolutions to lose weight into a fundraising effort by getting sponsorship or organising a fundraising event.

People getting married or celebrate birthdays, christenings or anniversaries are urged to get family and friends to donate to the hospice instead of giving presents.

Adventurous sorts are also invited to join the charity’s Purple Posse – by taking part in extreme challenges such as sky-diving.

Businesses can also join the hospice’s 99ers Scheme by making a regular monthly donation of £30.

Supporters can log details of their “one good thing” for 2013 by Facebook, twitter #OneGoodThing or by emailing onegoodthing@forgetmenotchild.co.uk

Anyone being sponsored for their “one good thing” can pick up a sponsorship form at any Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice shop or set up a Just Giving page.
