HUDDERSFIELD children with life threatening conditions have been given a £40,000 cash boost.

West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust was handed the donation by HSBC, as part of the bank’s Little Angels appeal.

The Trust runs the newly-opened children’s hospice and respite centre in Brackenhall.

The huge cash injection comes after HSBC’s North East region pledged to support local children’s charities.

And it has raised more than £450,000 since the appeal began in 2010.

In 2011, the fundraisers organised the Light Up The Sky Ball, which raised £30,000 alone.

Forget Me Not’s chief executive Peter Branson said: “This support is simply overwhelming and will have an incredible impact on the children and families we already support through our Hospice at Home service.

“The team at HSBC have shown such passion and enthusiasm for our cause. It has been a humbling experience working with them.”
