A FORMER evacuee is hoping Examiner readers can find a photo of his wartime hosts.

Retired businessman Raymond Barber was evacuated from his birthplace in Kent to Denby Dale in 1942.

During the war Mr Barber stayed with Walter Kenyon and his family, of Bank House, Bank Lane.

Mr Barber, who now lives in Alicante, Spain, is currently writing his memoirs and hopes an Examiner reader has a photograph of the Kenyon family.

Mr Barber was reunited with an evacuee pal, the late Tom Lodge, 89, at Mr Lodge’s Salendine Nook home in 2010.
