A HUDDERSFIELD man was due in court today charged with two murders.

Thomas Haigh, 26, originally of Denby Dale, is one of two men due to appear at Truro Crown Court.

He and Ross Stone have been accused of killing two men whose bodies were found in a burnt-out van buried in a field on a Cornwall farm.

The victims were Brett Flournoy and David Griffiths, who were found dead in June last year.

Mr Griffiths, a father-of-three originally from Plymouth, Devon, but living in Bracknell, Berkshire, and Mr Flournoy, a boxer and father of two from the Wirral, Merseyside, vanished after travelling to Cornwall.

Their bodies were found a month later in the remains of a Citroen Berlingo van they were travelling in, buried on land at Trenance Downs, near St Austell.

The trial is expected to last several weeks.
