Max Morley was crowned king of ITV’s Love Island last year and admits he would love to go back.

The personable 23-year-old from Holmfirth says he is enjoying watching the new series and trying to work out who will come out on top.

He is still as charming and level-headed as ever despite winning world-wide celebrity status within hours of winning the reality TV show.

Suddenly, he and glamour model Jess Hayes had won £50,000 and were being wooed by the world’s leading celebrity media including Hello! and OK magazines, anxious to drain every last drop of their sizzling romance – which Max admits fizzled out very shortly after the end of the show.

He said: “I’m loving the new series to be honest. At the moment the contestants are all a little bit on edge.

“The girls are absolutely stunning and two of the lads, Terry and Scott, are pretty cool lads but it all depends on how they couple up.

“As I know things change in there very quickly. I find it so weird.

“I would love to do it all over again or be invited over there as a former winner of the competition.”

As for his own love life he adds: “I’m currently single. I’ve met some lovely ladies but I must admit I am rather picky though I guess I have plenty of time.”

He says his current working life is a curious mixture of glamorous assignments including some part-time modelling, charity events and celebrity football matches as well as rather more earthy aspects – working for his father’s quarry firm just down the road and playing cricket for Holmfirth in the Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League.

Max added: “I played right wing in a celebrity football match recently at Norwich City’s ground at Carrow Road in front of 11,000 people which was a pretty amazing experience but working for my dad’s firm means it’s certainly not all glitz and glamour.”
