FUNDRAISING expert Julie Harrington gave a talk on maximising cash for charities at Huddersfield University.

Ms Harrington, vice-chairman of The Institute of Fundraising, has worked for national charities for 20 years including Oxfam, Epilepsy Action and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The presentation examined the importance of building brands within the charity sector. Julie has just opened the third Breast Cancer Haven in Leeds.

The talk was part of series organised by Huddersfield Marketing Society.

The society, set up by Huddersfield University students three years ago, will host a lecture by marketing pioneer Cliff Burgin on March 4 at the University’s Castle Hill Suite.
