MORE than 2,000 suspected cannabis plants and £30,000 in cash were seized in a crackdown on organised crime.

Police launched dawn raids at nine properties in Heckmondwike and Batley yesterday.

Growing equipment and three cars valued at more than £75,000 were also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Two men aged 44 and 48 and a 39-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and money laundering.
