FOUR men appeared before a judge charged with a serious assault at Ricky’s Bar in Huddersfield earlier this year.
Anthony Schofield, 54, was seriously injured in an incident at Ricky’s Bar on Leeds Road on July 31 this year.
Four men were arrested and appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday charged with the wounding the victim with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Daniel Lockwood, 22, of Spen Valley Road, Dewsbury, and Jamie Wood, 23, of Church Street, Crosland Moor, both pleaded guilty to the offence.
Two other men, Gareth Garside, 23, of Wheatcroft, Barnsley, and Daniel Mullins, 23, of St James Way, Huddersfield, both pleaded not guilty to the charges.
They will stand trial in January for the alleged offence.
His Honour Judge Rose warned the two defendants who admitted the offence they would face jail for the offence, describing it as “extremely serious”.
Sentencing for the two men who admitted the offence has been adjourned for pre-sentence reports and the outcome of the pending trial.
Wood was remanded in custody while the other three defendants were released on bail.
