Four people were injured - two seriously - in an horrific crash involving two cars on Sunday night.
Emergency crews battled to rescue the victims following the incident which happened in Healey Lane, Batley, near the junction with Throstle Nest, just after 7pm.
The crash involved a Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot 108.
Fire crews had to cut the roof off the Peugeot so they could rescue one of the victims, and the driver of the Fiesta was also seriously hurt in the accident.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called and landed nearby, but wasn’t needed, and the two seriously injured casualties were both treated at the scene before being taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.
A police spokeswoman said the two who were seriously hurt were the drivers.
Both are male, one aged 18 and the other 34.
Their conditions are not known, but the police spokeswoman said their injuries are not life-threatening.
Two other people are believed to have suffered minor injuries in the collision and did not need hospital treatment.
