FOUR people were hurt in a crash near Huddersfield fire station.

A VW Polo and a Citroen Saxo collided at around 7pm last night, snarling up the ring road at Castlegate.

A Golcar man who was a passenger in the Saxo suffered a head injury and the driver, a Longwood man, had a cut to his right elbow.

The Polo driver – a woman from Springwood – suffered pains to her neck, shoulder and foot.

Her male passenger had a mouth injury and soreness to his right arm and side.
