FREE health checks are being offered across Huddersfield
The Locala NHS service are running pop-up clinics for people aged between 40 and 74.
Health check nurse Jane Throssell said: “Having the health check is a way of preventing heart disease and strokes.
“We are running them on people who do not already suffer from conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
“We look at height, weight and other aspects, we aim to keep people healthy and identify whether there are any risks.
“These conditions are on the increase but they can be prevented.
“Sometimes it can be difficult to arrange a GP appointment, these checks are very easy and results are immediate.”

Queensgate Market
Newsome Sure Start Centre
Crosland Moor Sure Start Centre
Birkby Health Centre
Fartown/Birkby library
Birkby Junior School
