HAVE you got what it takes to become an Ambussador?

That’s the question being asked by bus company Arriva, which is looking for 40 people to become part of their quality control team.

Arriva Yorkshire is enlisting the help of members of the travelling public to rate their bus experience and, in particular, Arriva’s new mobile ticketing technology.

More than half a million journeys have already been made using the new m-tickets. Mobile ticketing allows bus users to buy Day Savers, Weekly Savers and 4-Weekly Savers on their phone at any time of day or night. The m-ticket range has just been extended to include Student and Annual Savers.

Arriva Yorkshire’s Ambussadors will each receive a free 4-Weekly Saver ticket for their services.

Chloe Leach O'Connell, marketing manager for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “Since the launch of m-ticketing we have seen a steady increase in the number of customers choosing to use their phone to purchase tickets. Now we want to recruit people to try out the service and provide feedback. Visit www.arrivabus.co.uk/ambussadors to register. The deadline is Sunday.
