A MAN arrested by police investigating a serious attack in a pub has been released on bail.
A 47-year-old Oakes man suffered serious arm, elbow and head injuries in the incident at The Crown pub on Westgate in Huddersfield town centre shortly after 11pm on New Year's Eve.
He was taken to the Royal Infirmary and is now recovering at home.
A 32-year-old Linthwaite man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries until February 25.
