A FRENCH market is coming to Holmfirth at Easter.

Traders will be on the lower floor of the town's market hall for four days - starting Good Friday.

It is among a number of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of twinning with the town of Besancon in France.

The French market will include an award-winning cheese stall with more than 70 varieties of cheese, olives, preserves, honey, crepes, breads, dried meats and ham.

The market's regular craft traders will also have their goods on display on all four days of the event.

The opening hours are: Good Friday 12 noon to 5.30pm; Saturday 9am to 5.30pm; Easter Sunday 10am to 4pm; Easter Monday 10am to 4pm.
