THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences after two Huddersfield town centre nail bars were raided this lunchtime.

Officers swooped on Nail Fairy in Queensgate Market and Lily Nails on Market Avenue just after noon, as shocked shoppers and business owners watched in amazement.

UK Border Agency officials worked with West Yorkshire Police to carry out the planned operation.

Three female workers at Lily Nails had their details checked.

A man and two women were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences at Nail Fairy and taken away for questioning.
