A steady stream of visitors made tracks to a popular railway modelling show in Holmfirth.

Huddersfield Railway Modellers staged their 48th annual exhibition at the Civic Hall over the weekend.

Member Graham Harpham said: “Everything was working fine and the visitors enjoyed what was on show.”

The exhibition featured nine layouts, including Thomas the Tank Engine to give children the chance to have a drive.

Items of modelling equipment were on sale, along with railway books, memorabilia and toys. The two-day session also included guest speakers and demonstrations by experts.

Mr Harpham said the Hebden Bridge layout in particular was attracting a lot of attention, along with the Calderwood.

“We had a steady flow of visitors, which was good considering the poor weather to start with on Saturday,” he said.
