FAMILIES enjoyed fun in the sun at an event held to raise money for a special school.
The fun day took place on Saturday at the Bridge Tavern in Holmbridge and raised £600 for Lydgate School at New Mill.
The event featured pony rides, bouncy castles, raffles, tombolas, a lucky dip and a cake stall.

The event was organised by Mandy Davis, Leanne Smith and Yvonne Evans, who are all support staff at the school.
Leanne said: “I’d like to say thank you to everyone who helped, especially the shops in Holmfirth who donated raffle prizes.”
The money is to be spent on more outdoor play equipment for pupils. ( zy020807Cfunday-1)
