FUNDRAISERS have organised a fancy dress pub crawl in memory of a late landlady.

The charity beer walk around Holmfirth will raise money in honour of Angela Roberts who owned The Nook Brewhouse.

She was a member of Holme Valley Shared Memories, which brings together schoolchildren and older people.

Fundraisers in fancy dress will visit nine pubs in Holmfirth on Saturday.

Angela’s daughter Sheila Sutton, who runs The Nook along with her brother Ian Roberts, said: “My mum got so much from her time with Sharing Memories and they in turn have given me precious memories of mum which I will value forever.

“The group relies entirely on public funding so we were more than happy to help.”

There will be collection buckets and sponsorship is optional with prizes for the best fancy dress costume and the most money raised.
